About Us
Originally established in the mid-nineteen seventies, we originally traded under the name of Janet Green Photographic. Greens Photo Centre began humbly, operating mainly as the Mail Order section of a family run business. Trading from a basement in Bradford, Janet Greens mail order section quickly had to expand and relocate to larger premises to keep up with demand.
A retail location was chosen in the heart of Halifax town centre, to continue the Mail Order section and because of previous success would also feature a new Photographic retail outlet, this very quickly became the leading Photo Optical outlet in Calderdale and is still open today!
Since the mid 1970’s Greens Photo Centre has grown and developed through many decades of hard work and passion. Located in Halifax town centre we continue to hold family business values at our core.
Photographic Services
Greens Photo Centre have an in house photo-digital printing team with more than 80 years experience between them and over 50 years experience with Analogue and Digital camera equipment. We have a large format printing department using the very latest Epson 44'' P9000 Wide Format professional printer, to produce only the finest colour and black & white prints, posters & canvases.
Photo Printing
Using the latest Fuji photo kiosks and printing equipment. We are part of the nationwide FujiFilm network, with our own unique smartphone App which allows you to log on anywhere to order prints, enlargements, canvas wraps, mugs, cushions and lots more that you can collect in store or have delivered straight to your home.
Passport Service
We offer a professional Passport, Visas and ID photo taking service via appointment with digital upload for applying online if needed. Physical print copies are available for your passport/travel card application needs.
Film Developing
Developing and printing film is still a large part of our portfolio, from old holiday snaps to professional film images we are happy to develop your images. We can scan old photographs, slides and negatives to Cd's and produce instant digital prints and enlargements for you to take the same day.
Cameras & Equipment
Greens Photo Centre offers some of the latest digital cameras, equipment, accessories, tripods, flashguns, filters, camera bags and more. Find everything you need for your passion project from lighting attachments to camera care.
Digital Transfers
Greens Photo Centre has a VHS Video Transfer and Cine reels to DVD or USB service for nostalgic viewings in the modern day age of streaming.
